One of the most famous authors of all time, Charles Dickens, was born on February 7, 1812. He is most well known for his novels “Oliver Twist”, “A Tale of Two Cities”, and “The Christmas Carol”.

Dickens was a master of creating characters that were realistic, and often quite comical. His work often highlighted the problems in society, and he is considered one of the greatest social commentators of his time. Dickens was also a champion of the poor and downtrodden, and his work helped to raise awareness of their plight.
