Jan. 20 -National Penguin Day

National Penguin Day is celebrated on January 20th each year to raise awareness of the plight of these amazing birds. We love penguins for lots of reasons: They walk around in tuxedos, they have a cute waddle, and they’re unique! Penguins are facing extinction due to the loss of their habitat and the effects of climate change. We can all help penguins by supporting organizations that are working to protect their habitat and raise awareness of the issues they are facing.
