May 4 – National Day of Prayer

In the United States, the National Day of Prayer is held on the first Thursday of May. This day is set aside for citizens to come together and pray for the nation. This year, the National Day of Prayer falls on May 4. Many people will gather in churches and public squares to pray for the nation, its leaders, and its citizens. Others will take a moment to pray in their own homes or workplaces. No matter where people choose to pray, they will be joining millions of Americans in asking for God’s blessings on the United States.
