May 5 – Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a special day in Mexico. On this day in 1862, the Mexican army defeated the French army at the Battle of Puebla. Cinco de Mayo is also a day to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage. There are often parades and festivals on this day.
